I’m blessed with 5 grandgirls💕
The six yr old in particular stretches, flips, headstands and jump ropes and resembles the pretty girl illustrated in the book! I purchased the series for her also bc they live and are schooled in a predominantly white district in Ohio and for two years she is the only Black little girl in her class and it bothers her. Your books have lightened her heart🥲 I’m crying bc I could talk and live on her yet another layer of support has helped tremendously 🙏🏾 She spent the night and I pulled the books out and she said ‘I never thought I would say this but I really enjoy reading my new books!’ They were supposed to stay at my house but she called me the next day and asked if I would please bring them to her house so she could read them as her mommy makes them read for 30 minutes after completing homework and she wanted your books to read!!!!! What can I say? I ordered two complete sets of the “Inspired To Be” series for grandsons who have birthdays days apart and who are having a combined birthday party this year. I placed the order the evening of August 30 and the books arrived on September 4, bearing in mind that we had the Labor Day holiday in there as well! I was not only impressed with the fast delivery but I was beyond delighted when I opened the box.
When I placed the order there was an option to have the books autographed so I requested that and put the children’s names and that they were for their 3rd and 4th birthdays respectively. I expected a simple, “Happy birthday Mxxxxxx” and Ms. Patterson’s signature. But she did much more than that. Each book has a personalized message to the child, even to the point that a character in one of the books has the same name as one of the boys. She penned an extra message for him in that particular book. Moreover, each set has a gold foil sticker with the child’s name on the storage box. As if that weren’t enough, Ms. Patterson included a small gift for each boy. These little details illustrate that she understands what kids like and respond to. I expect my grandsons, one in particular, even at his young age, to be very happy to see HIS name in each book. I can hardly wait until after the birthday party so that I can have the chance to read the books with them.
The books are beautifully written, repeating themes and words so that early readers can follow along and recognize words. And the illustrations are really lovely.
I came across these books as one of those Facebook pop ups. I was a little apprehensive initially about placing an order but did a little research and saw good reviews for both the books and the fast shipping. I am delighted with these books and will order additional sets in the near future for my daughter’s classroom as well as another young grandchild.

I loved all of the books that I bought as a Christmas gift.
This is my second order. I ordered two books and matching puzzles on Monday, June 2nd, and they arrived on Saturday, June 7th. The delivery time was impressive, especially since they were shipped from the west coast to the east coast. My grandchildren enjoy assembling puzzles, and these will be ideal for our beginning-of-summer activity centers. (I am a retired teacher.)

I’m so happy with these books! It only took seven days from ordering to delivery. As a retired teacher, I’m excited to share the books with my grandchildren, who are now old enough to read on their own. My granddaughter is about to start 4th grade, and I plan to use these books to teach her how to write a book report. My grandson is a budding artist. I’ll encourage him to create some drawings and write a few sentences about what he enjoys in the books. Let the illustrator, Briana Young, know that her artwork is vibrant and stunning.
